Simulated board review & work history formatting (most frequent reason cited for denial).

Writing the job narratives with key language and in the correct format for board approval.

Criminal history writeup (if applicable) with disposition and outcome explanation.

Staying with you through the submission process, monitoring the state database and updating you as the application review is being processed and through completion.

If necessary, we quickly respond to any RFIs on your behalf.

We stay with you after the approval process, helping you create & link a DBPR CILB account.
Services Excluded:

DBPR Application Fee ($145 - $250).

Fingerprint "Livescan" fee (approx. $80) and FDLE Florida reports (if applicable, $26).

Sunbiz registration & foreign entity (if applicable) for out of state companies.

Financial Responsible Officer application is a separate application (if applicable).

If the applicant has a credit score < 660 FICO, the DBPR requires a 14-hour financial responsibility course to be completed (by others).

Qualifying additional businesses (2 or more) requires a 3rd credit report (if applicable, $90).
The State of Florida has very strict requirements for licensing contractors.
This is too important to go at it alone.
The Department of Business & Professional Regulation DBPR, & the Construction Industry Licensing Board CILB have authority to issue, suspend, revoke, and deny licenses. Florida Statue 489 & Florida Administrative Code 61G4 regulate the review and approval of contractors licensing. We specialize in getting contractors licensed!

We'll get the application completed quickly & accurately. The state requires a lot of information, the standard application is 22 pages long, with many attachments & very detailed and targeted questions. If this is not done correctly you may have to appear before the board. We'll get the application ready for DBPR review. We know how to help get your application approved as quickly as possible.
Insurance
Workers Compensation coverage or exemption is required. If you're having trouble finding workers compensation, we can guide you to alternative solutions.
Public Liability Insurance is required: General & Building Contractors must carry $300,000 Liability / $50,000 Property Damage. All other licensing categories must carry $100,000 Liability / $25,000 Property Damage
Background Check
One of the 1st things that needs to get completed are the "Livescan Fingerprints" from a state approved company. You'll need to provide them with a specific ORI number for construction.
The results will be uploaded to a state database. The results are valid for up to 1 year. We'll guide you through this process. .
Registration & Certification
Do you have a business already or do you want to start a brand new company? We can guide you through the process of starting a business in Florida, and registering your business with the IRS to receive a EIN.
Credit Checks
Personal & Business Credit Checks, must be completed by a state approved vendor for federal & state results. The results are valid for 6 months.
Personal FICO credit score of 660 is preferred. If you do not have the 660 FICO, you'll need to take a 14hr financial responsibility course.
